Great news – I have found another venue for the Bootcamp and a new date. It is all go for September 7th to 9th. I hope to see some of you there. Remember I like to keep my numbers small and half the beds are already taken so if you think this is for you – get in quick!
There are many benefits in having a weekend for yourself. Firstly, don’t be put off by the word ‘bootcamp’. I am not waking you up at 5.30am for a 20km run or doing anything else that resembles physical hard work. When I talk about Bootcamp, I mean there is some work to be done, however it is mainly to do with self-discovery. Having a weekend for yourself is a time to review, reflect and rediscover who you want to be now that you are entering a new chapter of your life. There will be a blend of work, play and time out to simply ‘be’. The beauty of a weekend is there is no rush. There is time to breath, to share, to reconnect, to revive and to dream of possibilities.
I would like you to give yourself permission to join other women for a weekend to fast track your growth. If you are at a crossroad and you are starting to feel those inner nudges, then it is time to act. It is difficult to find time to answer some of the nagging questions that start to appear at midlife like;
Who am I now?
What do I want in my life?
How can I begin to create what I want?
What do I want to make time for?
What is important to me?
Am I being selfish?
Do I deserve this?
Yes you DO deserve this, after a lifetime of being all things to all people – this is YOUR time.
There is no doubt that midlife can be challenging with kids leaving home, our parents needing us, relationships changing, menopause dampening our spirits and the deep questions that are demanding answers. However midlife can also be exciting and this weekend is about learning how to bring some of that excitement back into your life. Spend time to find your essence and to begin to welcome the person you left behind while meeting the needs of others.
Last year I was lucky enough to spend eight amazing days at a retreat held at Iona, Scotland. I went there to met a mentor that I had a big girl crush on. I learnt so much about myself and I brought many tools back home that I now can share with you. You will leave the weekend with an overflowing tool bag that will help you keep to a plan.
When women gather, there is love, camaraderie, lots of storytelling and yes, big glorious belly laughs. There will be time to do craft, maybe catch a movie, walking in nature will be a must, eating in and eating out, and lots of activities to get clarity and focus so you leave the weekend overflowing with new ideas. As my lovely mentor said “when you stop long enough (not easy for many busy women) you’ll discover that you know a lot more than you think you know.”
